Prof. Rubenstein Has Been Named a 2017 Society for Science and the Public Advocate Grant Recipient

Prof. Rubenstein has been named one of 45 national Society for Science and the Public Advocate Grant recipients in honor of her past work and ongoing commitment to challenging inequities in science education. The grant will enable Prof. Rubenstein to mentor several local, historically underrepresented high school students through the national science competition process with the aim of exposing these students to the wonders of science and technology and college life this summer. Prof. Rubenstein will attend a special Advocate Training in DC this summer to meet other national advocates. This program is sponsored by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, the Arconic Foundation, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
