Rubenstein Group Attends the Telluride School on Stochastic Approaches to Electronic Structure

Hongxia, Leonard, and Yuan attended the Telluride Summer School on Stochastic Approaches to Electronic Structure from July 11-15, 2017. The school emphasized using Python programming to implement a number of stochastic electronic structure algorithms, including Variational Monte Carlo, Diffusion Monte Carlo, and Auxiliary Field Quantum Monte Carlo. Prof. Rubenstein co-taught the lecture on Auxiliary Field Quantum Monte Carlo. Fortunately, the group was given more than enough time to explore the mountains and waterfalls of Telluride (Deep Creek waterfall above)!
