Prof. Rubenstein Is Named a 2020 Cottrell Teacher-Scholar

Prof. Rubenstein was named one of 2020’s cohort of 25 Cottrell Teacher-Scholars (https://rescorp.org/news/2020/02/rcsa-names-25-new-cottrell-scholars-for-2020). The award honors fourth-year faculty in chemistry, physics, and astronomy who have been identified as leaders in integrating science teaching and research at a top US research university, a degree-granting research institution, or a primarily undergraduate institution. Prof. Rubenstein will use her scholarship to develop coursework and a textbook that integrates data science and mathematics earlier into the undergraduate chemistry curriculum with the aim of retaining more mathematically-oriented students in the chemical sciences.
