Congratulations to Yuan Liu for Receiving the Potter Prize for Best Thesis in the Chemistry Department!

A second congratulations to Yuan Liu for receiving the The William R. Potter Prize for Doctoral Thesis of Outstanding Merit for his thesis entitled “Finite Temperature Physics of Molecules and Solids via Auxiliary Field Quantum Monte Carlo and Observation of p-Type Dipole-Bound States Near the Molecular Threshold.” Yuan’s thesis combined theoretical and computational work from the Wang and Rubenstein Groups. Yuan worked in and significantly contributed to at least four distinct intellectual areas during his PhD, so this is a prize well-deserved!
